Post-Showing Follow Up Strategies

ShowMojo's Automatic Post-Showing Follow Up feature can be used one of three ways, to help nurture (and even thin out) your prospects after the showing.

The right strategy for you is most likely based on three factors:

  1. The amount of value you place in adding a human touch to showing follow up activities.
  2. Any concerns about sending automated follow up messages to prospects who are determined to be "unqualified" during the showing.
  3. The amount of time you have to review and send follow ups.

Strategy 1: Rely on the Automation

This is the most common approach for ShowMojo customers. They set follow up emails to send automatically, without review.

If you have enough leads flowing in, your market times are where you want them to be, and you don't have a large problem with applications from unqualified prospects, this approach will provide you with the greatest return on investment.

Strategy 2: Automate and Occasionally Intervene

In this case, ShowMojo is set to automatically send follow up emails, but the showing agents chooses to step in on edge cases. For example:

  • To personalize a follow up email for a qualifying, interested and/or high-value prospect.
  • To stop a follow up email to a prospect who clearly does not qualify.

This activity typically does not require a significant amount of effort, but these actions must be taken in a timely manner. That is, the appropriate action on a showing must be taken before the time at which ShowMojo is set to act automatically.

Strategy 3: Selective and High Touch Follow Ups

In this case, ShowMojo prepares each email for you to update and send at your convenience. Emails only go out after they are manually reviewed, potentially updated, and sent.

This approach can make the most of follow-up communication to prospects, by ensuring it is personal. Additionally, by its very nature, this approach weeds out unqualified prospects, since the emails will never been sent.

The only downside is that this manual approach requires both discipline (it's a daily routine) and the most effort.
