At its most basic, a CodeBox displays an "Entry Error" message whenever an invalid code is entered. In this case, the CodeBox, itself, is functioning just fine. However, if Entry Error is a common issue on a CodeBox, that most likely indicates that one of two things is misconfigured.
To investigate further, you will need someone at the CodeBox.
Option 1: Serial Number Mismatch
In this case, the serial number on the CodeBox hung at the property does not match the serial number selected on the listing in ShowMojo. To determine if this is the issue:
- Have someone at the property tell you the serial number of the lockbox at the property.
- Go to the Listings page, in the Listing Options section, and ensure the correct CodeBox serial number is assigned to the listing.
If you discover the wrong CodeBox, or no CodeBox, is assigned to the listing:
- If the correct serial number does not appear as "In Use" in the CodeBox dropdown then you can simply assign the correct serial number to the listing. This should resolve the issue, but please confirm by pulling an access code for the CodeBox and confirming.
- If the correct serial number appears as "In Use" you will need to go to the CodeBox Report to determine what listing the correct CodeBox is assigned to and then determine what steps need to be taken to have each CodeBox correctly assigned to each listing.
Option 2: The Date or Time on the CodeBox is Incorrect
In this case, the date or time of the CodeBox would be incorrect. To determine if this is the issue Check the Date and Time of a CodeBox.
If you discover the CodeBox date or time is not correctly set, consult the article to Change the Date and Time on a CodeBox. This should resolve the issue, but please confirm by pulling an access code for the CodeBox and confirming.
