Rental Application Feature Overview

ShowMojo provides the foundation of a best-in-class rental application platform. The highlights include:

Have a Look at the Settings

Once you have joined the beta, to have a look at the new options:

  1. Go to the Rental Applications Settings page.
  2. Locate the Use ShowMojo’s rental application feature option.
  3. Click the Review Settings link next to that option. This will let you review and update the settings without yet enabling this feature for your prospects.

The application form settings let you control:

  • What sections to include in the application: employment, other income, pets, vehicles, references, occupants, document upload -- we’ve got it all. 
  • What individual questions are mandatory, optional, or not needed. Just click on the specific section.
  • What additional custom questions you want to ask. Just click on the Personal Information or Other Details sections.

(If the rental application is associated with an existing lead or showing, ShowMojo will provide a link to that lead or showing.)

See the Prospect Experience

To see the form as your prospects would see it:

  1. Start on the Rental Application Form page. (If you are not sure where that is, see the three numbered steps above get you there.)
  2. Click the Preview your application link. 

This will let you see and experience what the prospect steps through.

Your prospective renters get a streamlined application form. They can even return to it when life interrupts.

You receive an email both when an application is started and when it is completed.

Use the ShowMojo Rental Application

When you are ready to use ShowMojo rental applications with your prospects, just enable the feature on the Rental Applications Settings page.

As noted above, you receive an email both when an application is started and when it is completed. Additionally, both partial and complete rental applications can be reviewed from the ShowMojo Dashboard.

Disable the ShowMojo Rental Application

 If you accidentally (or even intentionally) enabled ShowMojo’s rental application feature and want to disable it, just follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Rental Applications Settings page.
  2. Near the top-right of the page, click on Review Other Rental Application Options. This will take you to the main Rental Application Settings page. 
  3. Just select an alternative option and click Update Rental Application Settings.

Pricing

There's almost no additional cost for the rental applications feature. The only additional "fee" occurs when an applicant starts an application without linking to it from a ShowMojo link. In this case, a new lead is created as a reference point for the application.
